Well what an experience the past 3 days proved to be. I thought I would try my hand at live-blogging the MoodleMoot NZ08 event as I knew I had many followers that would be interested. In fact, over the past week my number of followers increased sharply. (many thanks to you all, I hope you enjoyed it).
Live blogging in Twitter is a dangerous method as you risk over twittering your audience. I did loose a few people, however the feedback from many was to keep going. This blog post serves as a transcript of the past couple of days. I hope you find the content as useful as I did
Julian (aka moodleman)

![]() |
russell : @jsridden I hope moodle is paying you per-tweet today… |
![]() |
jsridden : @deangroom agree and disagree. Studdy space would immediatly put a barrier to students. But is a good point you raised. Who is the focus? |
![]() |
jsridden : RT @tabitharoder: so twitterers are in all three presentations now? #mmnz08 stories from everywhere! |
![]() |

I would rather keep focus away from how annoying the tweets were to other users - I think that your tweets, in conjunction with many other feeds of information from the event really showed how Web 2.0 is now infecting the way we live our lives, through our business or education. You give yourself little credit, so kudos to you Julian! And your company was thoroughly enjoyed, the minibus trips to EIT campus will always be a highlight.
Cheers.
Willo
Those bus trips were certainly an “experience”. I’m sorry I was so busy we never had much of a chance to sit and just talk. Must definitely stay in contact.
Thanks for the comments.
